Assistant Controller CFS is working with a client of ours in the Hospitality industry that is looking to fill a Assistant Controller position.

Supervises A/R, A/P, personnel Responsible for reconciliations with vendors (i.
e.
Hotels, Transport vendors, Travel Agents, etc.
) Responsible for overseeing accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing), analyzing financial data, identifying areas for improvement Randomly audits work flow to assure that all accounting transactions are appropriate Supervises or prepares monthly journal entries Prepares financial statements Supervises or prepares general ledger reconciliations May train staff on internal control procedures; assists Controller as needed Reviews monthly closing process Works on special projects, if requested; assist with yearly audit preparation.
Qualifications of the Assistant Controller:
5-10 years of corporate accounting experience Supervisory experience highly preferred Bilingual - English and Spanish Hospitality Industry experience is a PLUS but not required Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business #CBJUL2023 #INJUL2023 #CBAUG2023 #INAUG2023 Recommended Skills Accounting Auditing English Finance Financial Data Analysis General Ledger Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
