This role is focused on ensuring projects are permitted and continuously inspected within prescribed timeframes to meet deadlines.
We are also looking for an individual who is ready for a challenge, great drive, and has excellent initiative.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Tracks the upkeep and extension of open permits with contracted agencies.
Advises department leadership on potential problems, work interferences, and scheduling difficulties and assists in resolving such problems as requested.
Completes clerical and administrative work to support the day-to-day operations of the Permitting & Engineering department.
Effectively communicates permit status to department leadership.
Responsible for understanding each agencies specific submission process.
Works with agency project teams to ensure permits remain active.
Checks deadlines on all incoming requests and takes initiative on appropriate priorities.
Actively builds permit relationships and act as the liaison internal teams and permitting authorities.
Initiates invoicing process in the internal system, TCR, and uploads supporting documents.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Experience in permitting and/or traffic control, a strong plus.
Advanced technical knowledge and computer skills.
Strong written communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders and municipalities Intermediate Computer Skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and takes initiative.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Possess a collaborative work style, while being equally able to operate independently.
Ability to be a self-starter, prioritize and manage multiple assignments at any given time while meeting deadlines.
