How you make a difference:
The Nursing Staff Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for preparing and maintaining nursing staff schedules for designated units and areas to ensure 24-hour coverage.
This position works closely with nursing management to carry out job responsibilities that include preparing master schedules and daily revisions.
Accurate records are maintained by position, unit, and shift assignment to support effective staffing management.
Key
Responsibilities:
Provides staff scheduling and works with personnel to ensure that schedules are thorough and accurate.
Coordinates work placement of resource staff based on their qualifications and expertise and makes recommendations to management.
Resolves scheduling conflicts with staff members and notifies Nurse Manager of problem evaluations.
Sets up and maintains tracking system of staff mandatory skills, in-services, and minimum work requirements and updates personnel files.
Develops and provides statistical reports, orders supplies, and helps maintain the department budget.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education High school diploma or equivalent.
Associate's degree in hospital administration or related field preferred.
Experience 1-2 years of progressively more responsible administrative or related experience desired.
Direct scheduling experience preferred.
