36 an hour Duties - Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual - Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar - Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details - Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance billing - Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information - Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents - Provide general administrative support to the medical office staff Experience - Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or in a similar role is preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus - Knowledge of medical scheduling systems and electronic health records is desirable - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally - Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment - Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
