As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to appropriate staff members - Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar - Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees - Maintain patient records and update information as needed - Assist with medical billing and coding tasks - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality - Manage medical office supplies and inventory - Coordinate referrals to specialists as necessary
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or dental office setting is preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Eaglesoft - Strong knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
